TOP STORIES 🔥

  Voi secures funds & contracts

Voi has completed its first-ever bond issuance, successfully placing €50 million of senior secured bonds under a total framework of €125 million. The net proceeds from the bond issue will be applied towards Voi’s ambitions to scale our current 110,000 scooter and bike fleets, refinance existing debt, and for general corporate purposes of the group.

This news rounded off a great week for Voi, as they also won two important contracts. Voi will launch in Antwerp, after winning a 5-year contract from Bird, as well as a January launch in Le Havre on a 4-year contract, replacing Lime.

💡 Opportunities after Dott-TIER merger

Dott-TIER announced that all of their services would be united under the Dott brand. As TIER disappears (the process is already well underway), there could be an interesting opportunity for other operators in certain markets.

In some cities where Dott and TIER were present, such as Lyon, the company can now only occupy one permit, instead of two. In the case of Lyon, there are only two licences, so the TIER licence will have to be given up, and a new operator chosen.

This could well be the case in other markets, so operators should keep their eyes peeled!
