⚡️ TIER becomes Dott

It’s official: TIER will become Dott. The two companies merged back in March 2024, and were continuing under the name TIER-Dott.

All TIER vehicles will be rebranded under Dott, and all TIER users will be re-directed to the Dott app. This transition had already begun for some cities where the two brands existed (e.g. TIER bikes in Paris), but it will now be rolled out across Europe & the Middle East.

“We are thrilled to announce that all TIER and Dott vehicles will be available in one app: Dott. This will enable tens of million users to ride with us in 427 cities in an efficient and safe way.”

Henri Mossinac, CEO TIER-Dott

TIER-Dott in numbers:

  • 10,000,000 active users

  • 250,000 shared vehicles

  • 427 cities

  • 21 countries

💵 Lombardy backs shared mobility with €7.9m

After Spain’s €20 million fund for bike-sharing, it’s Italy’s turn to back shared mobility.

Annual public transport season ticket holders in the Lombardy region will be given vouchers of €100 to rent shared scooters or electric bikes. The Ministry of Infrastructure is funding the €7.9 million to make the initiative a reality. Vouchers can be used until 30th June 2025.

The regional councillor for Transport, Franco Lucente, said that it was "a true green revolution in transport. […] A new way of conceiving mobility, shared and sustainable, to encourage changes in habits and travel styles. The key word is intermodality, where the different transport systems communicate in a functional and efficient way".
