Yet another change of hands for nextbike?  🤝

As TIER’s merger with Dott is finalised, rumour has it that nextbike will not be part of the new company’s plans.

German newsgroup Welt reveals that the British investment fund STAR Capital Partnership LLP will complete the “indirect acquisition of all shares and take sole control over nextbike GmbH”.

TIER acquired the German bike-share giant at a time when capturing as much market share as possible was paramount. More than two years later, nextbike’s potential change of hands seems to confirm that Dott & TIER will concentrate on perfecting one business model: private, free-floating services.

Cooltra goes all in! 🛵

Just weeks after the acquisition of Cityscoot, Cooltra strikes again and announces they will be joining forces with Felyx, one of the leading moped operators in the Netherlands.

It’s a win-win deal: felyx was looking for investment to overcome financial difficulties, while Cooltra begins a ‘soft’ expansion into Belgium and Netherlands (after France with Cityscoot).
