🅿️ Voi introduce activity score to incentivise better parking

Voi have introduced an activity score to encourage better riding behaviour.

The industry as a whole has often gravitated to the ‘stick’ rather than the ‘carrot’ when it comes to parking, and it is common practice to give users fines for parking badly or incorrectly. Voi’s new approach will see the user have a score out of 100, and those with a score above 90 will get certain benefits:

• No need to submit a photo in most-common parking areas

• Confirm your parking manually when GPS/sensors are wrong

• Every 20 good parking events, the user will receive €3 in credits.

🟠 Ridemovi to replace system in Parma

Parma’s station-based bike sharing service will be replaced by Ridemovi.

A 20-station expansion of the docked system was planned in March 2024, before an announcement a few days ago that the system would be discontinued at the end of the year.

Ridemovi have similar contracts with cities in Italy, such as Bologna and Florence - which rank in the Top 10 for trips per inhabitant in the CIE Benchmarking Report.

Public bike sharing is performing well across Europe, but subsidised dockless systems are also growing in popularity.
