🧑⚖️ Voi estimates damages in Seville at €1.4m

Voi estimates the damages caused by the suspension of its scooter service in Seville (ES) at €1.43 million.
Back in March, the city decided not to re-tender the scooter service currently managed by Voi. Then, on 9th April, Seville gave Voi an ultimatum to leave the city, ordering the removal of vehicles from the streets. The operator asked for a 5-month extension to handle the exit, and have secured the right to stay until the end of the year.
This week, Voi’s administrative appeal, filed with Seville City Council, quantifies the economic damage attributed to the city’s decision at €1.43 million. The breakdown is as follows: loss of income (€1.22 million), dismissal of 11 employees (€88,507) and technological investment (€58,000) in 2025.
🇮🇹 Turin contemplates banning scooters

After 3 deaths and 102 injuries in 2024 and the first months of 2025, Turin (IT) is the latest city to consider banning scooters.
Marco Porcedda, the Councillor for Legality and Security, is calling for a 'scooter plan' for the city, focusing on prevention, sanctions, and communication, to “prevent this new mobility from turning into a daily tragedy”.
He goes on to say that they would prefer a “constructive approach”, regulating a convenient and sustainable means of transport — “but if there's no plan, it's better to remove scooters from Turin's streets."
