 🪫 Sharing turns into stealing

Criminals in London are stealing batteries from Lime bikes to either sell on, to convert pedal bikes into electric ones using conversion kits with cheap components.

It’s not just Lime: Last year, Forest were losing roughly 10 batteries a month to theft. Voi said the theft of more than 700 batteries in Liverpool two years ago cost them more than £500,000 - fortunately, this week those thieves were caught and charged.

💷 Today acquires Dockr

Irish mobility startup Today has acquired B2B e-cargo bike subscription company Dockr, following a €4 million funding round.

This move aims to expand Today’s subscription services and strengthen its position in last-mile logistics. The company was founded by a team of seasoned micromobility managers (from Frog, Gotcha).

Dockr specializes in providing businesses with flexible e-cargo bike subscriptions and currently leases around 1,000 cargo bikes.
