TOP STORIES 🔥

💍 One Wedding: Share the Love

This summer, a rider used a felyx moped to make an entrance at their wedding. As the company’s LinkedIn post says: “Moments like these remind us that mobility isn’t just about getting from A to B. It’s about being part of the journeys that matter most — from the everyday to the unforgettable”.

  Two Funerals: High Profile exits

Two major exits from major European capitals are imminent for Lime and Bolt.

  1. Lime could finally be on its way out of Brussels (BE)

Lime suspended its sharing service on midnight on Friday after the licence they were operating under was deemed to be invalid. The company’s original licence expired on 3rd July, but was granted another chance when an anonymous company transferred its operating licence so that it could continue its service.

However, Lime confirmed last week that the shared licence “has been deemed non-compliant”; and is exploring a way forward with the Brussels region until the Council of State makes a definitive ruling.

  1. Bolt scooters are banned from operating in Milan (IT)

Bolt scooters have been banned after judges ruled in favour of the city due to “delays and unfulfilled commitments”. Bolt placed first in the 2023 tender for scooters, gaining points for wider wheels and mandatory helmets.

After not delivering on these characteristics, and “failure to comply with the fleet limits for at least three days within a calendar month”, the Regional Administrative Court (TAR) has now issued its final ruling in favour of the city.

 💨 VélôToulouse TRIPLES annual ridership

JCDecaux and Tisséo implemented a new fleet of 3,300 shared bikes in Toulouse (FR) in August 2024. One year on, more than 10 million trips have been made.

In the previous period, 4 million trips were made, meaning that daily ridership has tripled. The number of long-term subscribers has doubled, from 31,700 to 65,300 at the end of July 2025. By the end of the month, the service will serve 6 new municipalities and will grow to 3,650 bikes across 445 stations.

The introduction of electric bikes has been a big hit in Toulouse, where TVD can reach 14. Similar uptake was seen in Lyon (FR) in March, where residents clocked up 1 million trips on electric bikes within 2 months of their launch.
