🚲 Lyft Urban Solutions launches new bikeshare solution along Miami-Dade

In partnership with Lyft Urban Solutions

A brand-new pedal bikeshare system is now available along The Underline, the county’s iconic 10-mile public trail beneath the Metrorail. Operated by Deco Bike Miami LLC, and sponsored by Inter (a digital bank), the Inter Bike system features 125 pedal bikes and 10 stations at full deployment.

Fully integrated with the Lyft Urban Solutions rider app, the system offers a seamless user experience: riders can easily locate, unlock, and enjoy their bikes with just a few taps. This proven platform powers other successful bikeshare networks globally.

Designed for simplicity and accessibility, Inter Bike provides an eco-friendly way for residents and visitors to explore The Underline, support neighborhood businesses, and connect with cultural landmarks—marking Miami-Dade’s latest step toward active transportation and community connectivity.

 🇮🇹 Florence to ban shared scooters from April 2026

Florence (IT) will become the first city in Italy to ban shared scooters. Current operators, Bird, BIT Mobility & Ridemovi will continue to operate until 1st April 2026, when the ban comes into effect.

The scooter scheme has fallen victim to the Highway Code law that state that scooter users must wear helmets. As companies have had difficulty ensuring helmets are available on every vehicle —and parking has been hard to regulate—complaints have mounted.

The Mayor has confirmed that whilst scooter will be banned, bike sharing will be expanded, and prices reduced. In 2024, the service, run by Ridemovi, recorded more than 1.5 million trips, and was up 18% in the first few months of 2025.
