Important changes to Fluctuo's EU Recap

We've got good news and bad news...

Hi subscriber, friend and fellow mobility enthusiast,

Harry from Fluctuo here, editor of the EU Recap newsletter.

For more than 2 years, Fluctuo has run this weekly newsletter on the shared mobility industry - one that is laser-focused on the core topic of shared bikes, scooters, mopeds and cars. Whilst other newsletters have broadened their scope to widen their audience, we have continued to produce concise, high-quality newsletters that provide you with value.

Since I joined Fluctuo in April 2022, I have always imagined taking it further, and providing a service beyond a newsletter.

Insight to impact.

From Tuesday 12th December, the EU Recap will become a paid newsletter.

Please read on to understand:

đź“° What additional value you will get in the paid newsletter

What am I going to get in the paid version?

đź“Š Tender monitoring & opportunity evaluations

You will have noticed that we have added a new tender section, to keep tabs on all the latest tenders that are released, awarded or rumoured. We are working with a number of industry consultants that have spent many years researching, evaluating and acting on tenders, and now they are helping us compile a list of tenders to watch in 2024. It will be an incredibly busy year for the industry, as more and more legislation comes in allowing cities to tender for their shared mobility schemes.

We have data on more than 180 cities in Europe. Our paid readers will be provided with context to the city that is launching the tender. We aim to provide context to a call for tenders and help readers gauge the opportunity of launching in a given city. Not all cities are profitable, but some cities are must-wins.

In addition to the weekly recap, paid subscribers will receive a monthly tender review, detailing everything that has happened over the month. The first edition will be launched next week.

P.S. You may have noticed that our tender section doesn’t yet provide links to the tenders. Premium subscribers will have access to these links.

🤿 City Dive insights

Many of our subscribers are already City Dive customers, but some of you aren’t.

Our dashboard can provide heaps of value, especially to understand demand patterns after a tender or after a crucial policy change (e.g. parking, helmet requirements, insurance). See below our analysis on dockless bike growth after the Paris scooter ban.

We have done this in the past, but less frequently. Time to step up the game.

Every two weeks, paid subscribers will receive a City Dive insight about what we are seeing in the market. The best bit? You request it, we analyze it.

🗓️ When will it go premium?

The newsletter will officially become premium on 12th December 2023. However, everyone can sign up for a free trial until 9th January 2024. The first newsletter outside the trial will be 16th January. Details on how to activate this free trial will follow soon.

N.B. There will be no newsletter on the week of 25th December.

đź’° How much is it going to cost?

There are two types of package:
👤 Individual
đź‘Ą Company (2+ subscribers)

Individual

If you just want to subscribe yourself, membership will cost €39/month

Company

There are several packages available to companies, depending on the number of subscribers you need. Discounts are available for annual subscriptions.

Already a City Dive customer? Don’t worry, contact us for a custom package.

You must sign up with your company email. Don’t have one? Let us know and we’ll ask you directly.

What if I don’t want to pay?

There will still be a free version of the newsletter sent every week, but it will only include certain sections.
