🛵 Future of Cityscoot uncertain
Last week, Cityscoot filed for insolvency, seeking protection from the Paris commercial court.
Cityscoot - who has (held for some time) more than 60% market share for mopeds in Paris - is now seeking help from investors to continue operating and serving users.
Watch a recap of our CEO, Julien Chamussy, unpack what the future of Cityscoot looks like on BFM TV (in French 🇫🇷).
🛴 Berlin to reduce scooter fleets
Berlin Senate Administration wants to reduce the fleet cap on scooters from January 2024 onwards. Currently, there are an estimated 40,000 scooters on the streets, including 25,000 inside the city’s inner ring. The goal is to reduce the number allowed in the inner city to 15,000 vehicles.
If the city sees no improvement on the parking situation by summer 2024, further limitations will be imposed.
