✅ City Bike Stockholm fiasco resolved

City Bike has reached a 28m SEK (€2.48m) settlement with the city of Stockholm to resolve the dispute over the city’s bike-sharing contract. A failure of hardware prevented service provider Inurba from meeting the fleet requirements mandated by the city.

Stockholm city cancelled the contract with City Bike in 2023 for lack of bike availability, and were initially fining the operator over 33m SEK (€2.93m) as compensation - 100 SEK (€8.83) per missing bike. This sum was then reduced following a recalculation.

Despite Inurba’s hardships in Stockholm, their scheme in Poland is proving to be a huge success…
