šŖ AMBici completes rollout in Barcelona

Over a year since its first vehicles hit the ground, AMBiciās launch in LāHospitalet completes the serviceās final phase of deployment in the Barcelona metropolitan area. Now with 200 stations and 2,300 bikes, the service (run by nextbike) is operational in 15 of the cityās 36 municipalities.
The serviceās deployment was delayed last year due to electric grid connection issues, which rendered some of the electric fleetās stations inoperable. Now that the issue is fixed, the service looks to continue to grow its offering in its existing municipalities.
š micromobility.com veers further off course

In a recent SEC Filing, micromobility.com (formerly Helbiz) shared their financial statements for Q1-2024.
The report detailed a decrease in total trips and mobility revenue since Q1 2023 - from 580,000 trips to 68,000, and from $1.6m to $0.4m. The number of active users also dropped significantly, from 90,000 in 2023 to 29,000 in 2024. The changes are explained by the companyās strategy to reduce their operating cash by closing multiple locations in Italy and United States.
They remain operational in 7 Italian cities and 3 American cities.
